Merkle, a leading technology-enabled, data-driven customer experience management (CXM) company and part of dentsu, announces that Gyro, the creative arm of Merkle B2B has appointed Jo Webb to the role of creative director. This is the latest in a raft of senior appointments at Merkle B2B designed to place creativity at the heart of the rapidly growing business.
Former Campaign magazine ‘Face to Watch’, award winning copywriter Webb joins Gyro with 20 years’ experience in the advertising industry. She joins after a successful freelance career, including stints at agencies including Fallon, Havas and McCann Health. Webb’s early career spans creative agencies such as BBH, Howell Henry and DLKW Lowe. She worked on the long-standing ‘It’s Got Our Name On It’ brand campaign for Wickes and award-winning projects for Lynx and Birds Eye.
Webb will report to Jason Fletcher, executive creative director at Gyro UK, alongside newly appointed art director, Susie Nagel Davies who joined from The Leith Agency. Davies’ previous campaigns include ‘Don’t Be a Can’t for Irn-Bru, alongside campaigns for the Scottish government and The Royal Bank of Scotland. Extending the company’s creative offering, Sara Neves formerly at The Engine Group and Andy Dicks (Brewdog, The Social Space) also join the creative department as designers at Gyro UK.
This raft of senior creative appointments at Merkle B2B’s creative agency Gyro recognises the changing demands of the industry, combining best-in-class individual expertise and capabilities in media, digital and creative communications. The new creative leadership team marks a pivotal time in the company’s history after a series of new client wins, and will continue to drive growth for the business across key markets alongside a peerless creative drive for clients.

This expansion of Merkle B2B’s creative team at Gyro follows Merkle B2B’s launch in September 2020, and a series of strategic appointments for the specialist line of business. Rob Gold took the role of UK CEO of Merkle B2B, heading up the newly created and expanded practice across dentsu’s CXM Service Line. Rob was joined by John Grange as chief commercial director.
